The Team

Susan Rusconi is a Talent Development professional who has been working in the high-tech industry for over 25 years. She is the founder of LeadUp, a consulting firm focusing on transformative leadership development, team building and coaching. Susan partners with business leaders to design and facilitate engaging experiences that align with the culture and connect with the company’s purpose and strategic vision. Susan is passionate about developing adaptive leaders and teams which support diverse and inclusive cultures. She takes a collaborative, client centric approach to provide innovate solutions to help company’s increase engagement and thrive in today’s dynamic, hybrid workplace. Prior to founding LeadUp, Susan was the senior director of leadership development at Splunk where she developed strategic leadership programs supporting the development of Splunk’s leaders in a high growth, fast paced environment. Her programs included virtual programs with 1:1 coaching for new people managers, management programs focusing on core practices and diversity, equity and inclusion, and strategic senior leadership programs with customized coaching and a focus on scale, business acumen and leading in a high growth environment. Prior to Splunk Susan was head of leadership development and worked in sales enablement at Adobe, and prior to that she held a variety of positions in product marketing, field marketing and field enablement at Silicon Graphics. Susan is certified in several leadership tools including Situational Leadership, HBDI, the Kolbe Index, and the Korn Ferry 360 assessment. She has presented at leadership conferences and Girl Geek X, and she has been a guest lecturer on Adaptive Leadership at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Susan received her Bachelor of Science in Development, Resource, and Consumer Economics from the University of California, Davis and her MBA from Santa Clara University. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and has two sons.

Fred McAmis is an independent Human Resources consultant with over 30 years of experience working inside and outside successful Fortune 500 companies. As a senior HR professional, he has managed most HR functions with a strong expertise in Learning and Organizational Development. Fred’s passion and skill in the area of personal and professional development has earned him the reputation as a master facilitator, trainer and management coach. It is through these activities that he helps individuals and organizations achieve and go beyond their stated goals and ambitions. As a Senior Consultant at LeadUp, Fred brings his wealth of experience and passion into organizations of all types and sizes. As a facilitator, trainer, coach and line HR professional, he designs and delivers strategic executive off-sites, coaches managers at all levels, develops and delivers management and leadership training, and supports organizations through direct line HR roles. His clients range from large Fortune 500 companies, such as Adobe, to technical start-ups, such as 3Cloud. Fred holds a BA in (Organizational) Psychology from UC Davis and an MA from JFK University in Management (Organization Development).
